Every time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the system of the accessing device (PC, laptop, mobile device). The following data is processed:

  • information about the browser type and version used,
  • The operating system of the end device,

  • The IP address of the terminal,
  • Date and time of access,
  • websites from which the terminal device reaches our website,
  • Websites that are accessed by the device system via our website.

3.2. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the Internet browser or by the Internet browser on the user's computer system. When a user accesses a website, a cookie may be stored on the user's operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string of characters that allows the browser to be uniquely identified when you return to the website.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some elements of our website require that the accessing browser can be identified even after a page has changed. We list all the cookies we use in this section below.

The purpose of the use of technically necessary cookies is to simplify the use of websites for users. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of cookies. For these, it is necessary that the browser is recognized even after a page change.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and for analysis purposes Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR if consent is given in this regard.

Cookies are stored on the user's computer and transmitted from him or her to our site. Therefore, you as a user have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for our website, it may no longer be possible to use all functions of the website to their full extent.

3.2.1. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled in your systems. Typically, these cookies are only set in response to actions you take that meet a service request, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block these cookies or to notify you about these cookies. However, some areas of the website will not work. These cookies do not store any personal data.

The following data is stored and transmitted in the cookies:

(1) Search behaviour We also use cookies on our website that enable an analysis of the surfing behaviour of the user.

In this way, the following data can be transmitted:

(1) Search terms entered (2) Frequency of page views (3) Use of website functions

The user data collected in this way is pseudonymised by technical measures. Therefore, it is no longer possible to assign the data to the calling user. The data is not stored together with other personal data of the users.

When accessing our website, users are informed about the use of cookies for analysis purposes by means of an information banner and refer to this privacy policy. In this context, there is also a reference to how the storage of cookies can be prevented in the browser settings.

When accessing our website, the user will be informed about the use of cookies for analysis purposes and consent to the processing of the personal data used in this context will be obtained. In this context, reference is also made to this privacy policy.
We require cookies for the following applications:

(1) Remembering search termsThe user data collected by technically necessary cookies is not used to create user profiles.

The analysis cookies are used for the purpose of improving the quality of our website and its content. The analysis cookies tell us how the website is used and can thus constantly optimise our offer.

These purposes also include our legitimate interest in the processing of personal data in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

3.3. Use of Matomo Analytics

We use the web analysis software Matomo (www.matomo.org) to compile access statistics and to analyse general usage behaviour on the website and for the purposes of optimising our web presence. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

We have configured Matomo in such a way that:

  • no cookies are stored in your terminal equipment;
  • the IP address is shortened by the last two bytes and thus anonymized;
  • in addition to the pages accessed, only the data transmitted by your browser when you access the website are collected / this data collection is limited to the respective duration of the session;
  • When you access the website, your data transmitted by the browser as well as the anonymized IP address are irrevocably replaced by a pseudonymID based on a session-based basis, so that no determinability and thus no personal reference can be established, whereby this pseudonymID is also deleted after a maximum of 24 hours.

We use our own Matomo instance on our company's servers within the EEA, so there is no data transfer to Matomo or other third parties.

At the same time, you have the option of activating the "Do Not Track" option in your browser so that Matomo cannot store or process any of the data of your website visit.

If you have not activated the "Do Not Track" option and do not agree to the storage and evaluation of the aforementioned data by Matomo, you can of course object to this data processing by Matomo on our website at any time. For this purpose, we provide you with a special inline frame that is linked to our Matomo system and with which a cookie is stored on your terminal device by deactivating the checkbox (opt-out), which prevents the collection and processing of any session data on our website by Matomo. Please note that the complete deletion of your cookies means that this cookie will also be deleted and may have to be reactivated by you.

Your visit to this website is currently recorded by Matomo web analysis. Uncheck this checkbox for opt-out.

4. Obligation to provide data and possible consequences of not providing data

When using our services, you must provide the personal data that is necessary to fulfil the purpose or that we are legally obliged to collect. Without this data, we will generally not be able to enter into or perform the contract with you.

5. Disclosure

As a matter of principle, we do not pass on your personal data to third parties.

We only pass on your personal data to achieve the purposes listed in this data protection notice, which includes, in particular, disclosure to contractual partners, such as hosters, shipping companies or if we are legally obliged to disclose it, e.g. in investigations by law enforcement authorities.

6. Links to other websites

The website contains some redirects to our Group websites, such as our application portal (https://jobboerse.strabag.at). The respective group company is responsible for the respective website. You can recognize the redirect by the changed URL.

The website also contains links to websites of other providers (third parties). When clicked, the website visitor is taken to the third-party website. There, the third party (the website operator there) is solely responsible for data processing. More detailed information on data processing there can be found in the privacy policy of the respective provider. We take no responsibility for this.

7. Data processing outside the European Union

The processing generally takes place in the EU. Depending on the subject matter of the contract, in particular the destination country, data may be transferred to third countries under data protection law, i.e. countries outside the EU/EEA, insofar as this is permissible under data protection law.

In addition, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you on the basis of Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation. In this case, the objection must be justified and we will no longer process your data, unless our interests in processing it outweigh this.

If the data is processed on the basis of consent, your consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. The revocation can be declared at any time, with effect for the future, in relation to all or only individual processing operations on the basis of your consent, and without giving reasons. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent before the revocation.

9. Status / Update

We adapt the information on data protection to changed functionalities or changed legal situations. Therefore, we recommend that you take note of the notice on data protection at regular intervals. If consent is required, the changes will only be made with your consent.
